The sponsors of Orbit Developers (Private) Limited intend to obtain an NBFC license to operate as a Real Estate Management Company (RMC) for launching REIT schemes under the Real Estate Investment Trust Regulations, 2022. The sponsors—Mr. Muhammad Aslam Tipu, Mr. Fazeel Asif Jah, and Mr. Muhammad Naveed Tariq—bring over two decades of experience in Pakistan’s real estate sector. Their vision is to establish a Perpetual Shariah-Compliant Developmental REIT, undertaking multiple real estate projects focused on development, construction, and sales. Collectively, they have successfully delivered a range of real estate developments across housing schemes, shopping malls, office spaces, apartments, and hospitality projects. One of their flagship ongoing ventures is The Spring Apartment Homes, a large-scale, phased residential development located on Mohlanwal Road near Thokar Niaz Baig, Lahore. Following the successful completion of Phase 1, subsequent phases have been launched. To formalize their REIT operations, the sponsors have already submitted an application to SECP for the incorporation of Orbit Real Estate Management Company Limited (Orbit RMC). In line with SECP’s corporate governance guidelines, the proposed board structure of Orbit RMC will include independent directors and female representation to ensure transparency and compliance.
